A Wet Concert in Malaysia
May 13,2012Everything is more fun in the rain, concerts held at Kuala Lumpur included. I am not speaking for everyone involved with the concert. There were people who worked their butt of in not so perfect conditions to put on an awesome show. I’m just speaking for myself.
While the rehearsal rain was more of a “we need to issue a flood warning” type of rain, the rain during the performance was more laid-back and welcoming. One of my favorite moments of the concert was when the rain started to come down a little heavier. The audience started casually taking out their raincoats and umbrellas, and without missing a beat continued to cheer and shout without losing an ounce of intensity and passion. Kudos, Kuala Lumpur, a job well done. This concert was electric from the start and the fact that it sustained it through all the heavy rain only adds to how awesome the crowd really was. My boss of course didn’t break a beat as well, performing just as well as he would have in perfect in conditions.
This was my first trip to Malaysia and I enjoyed myself immensely. The food, the people, the fans, were all amazing! I hope to come back soon, and I’ll make sure to leave my rain coat at home, after all, everything is more fun in the rain.
