Wang Leehom sings "The Mountains" for the Williams College Class of 2020
Because of the pandemic, this semester at Williams College was completed online, as was today’s graduation ceremony. It was a great honor to be a today’s graduation guest; and to congratulate the class of 2020, I climbed to the top of Fuzhou mountain in Taipei to sing our alma mater song 「The Mountains」, written by Washington Gladden, class of 1859. As an alum, a noteworthy fact to be proud of, Gladden was strongly opposed to slavery, and was an outspoken critic of racism. A man way ahead of his time, he continues to stand on the right side of history.

The Treasured Voice: "We Are The World"
The Treasured Voice: "We Are The World" Wang Leehom and James Lee自从 1985年发行到现在,几乎没人翻唱过这首《We Are The World》。
Since 1985, when this song was released, there haven’t been many cover versions of “We Are The World”. Such a classic song. Why not?
I don't know if it's because it's a difficult song to perform (there were over 100 singers in the original version), or because it stopped being cool to sing about world peace, helping and caring for one another, and the fact that we 're all in this together.
If it's the first reason, don't worry, my partner in this duet is the unparalleled musical giant, James Lee. If it's the second reason, I think COVID-19 surely has reminded us that the lyrics of this song, are a message we all need to hear and embrace, not tomorrow, but right now.
James and I were both so happy to sing this song last night, to share a little of our worldview, and affirm that we continue to believe in the great power of music, and love, and compassion, and the potential for each person to make the world a better place.
